I was off work Monday and Tuesday after working two weeks of Monday to Saturday, so during that time the wife and I figured on getting some lingering jobs done. You know those jobs that you always think about doing but never get around to? Yeah, those ones. One of those was cleaning out the garage. Sure, we’ve only lived here since March, but it doesn’t take long for the garage to get cluttered, you know? Also there were some cabinets under my workbench that needed to be cleaned out. There was a bunch of dried-up paint and whatnot down there.
So anyway, after getting everything out of there and sweeping it out, I set about cleaning out the cabinets. Little did I know I would find hidden treasures. My first discovery was a small Louisville Slugger, which is ideal for beating down burglars. This was a good find, because ironically just the other day I was thinking about how I don’t really have anything handy in my bedroom with which I could beat down said intruder. So that miniature bat now resides under my side of the bed.
My second discovery was even more interesting. I was pulling out the old cans of paint when I saw something that resembled a rolled up piece of tissue that had gotten wet some time ago and dried into a hardened tissue-type material. Of course, when I picked it up I realized that it was no such thing. That’s right ladies and gentlemen; I found a joint in my garage. Now being Mormon, I’ve never actually smoked a joint…or even a cigarette for that matter. So I’m not sure exactly what to do with it. Do I throw it away? Then what if the garbage man finds it and turns me in? Do I burn it? Then what happens when the whole neighborhood gets high? Do I just use it as a decoration and say it was a souvenir from Jamaica? Maybe I’ll plant it in Zimm’s house somewhere and wait until his wife finds it. That would be funny.
Luke continues to do hilarious things. For no reason yesterday, when he was playing with his plush ball, he was chasing it around and picked it up with his teeth (all four of them). I don’t know where he got this from, as we don’t have a dog and I don’t routinely go around picking up things with my mouth.
I’m still working on all things blog. The plan is to have the sports blog ready by the end of the week, but I continuously find myself distracted by countless other leisure activities when I’m not doing important things. I may end up just posting my football stuff there this week before it’s done. In fact, I’m sure that’s what will happen. The photo gallery is another story. I’m hopelessly behind compared to where I had hoped to be by now. Oh well. It’ll happen sooner or later. Later. It’ll happen later.
Song of the Day: “Plush”, by Stone Temple Pilots. An oldie but goodie. Too bad STP never did anything of note after Core.
