Writer's Block

I've been trying to get into a groove of posting here, so here I am thinking of something to post, and I'm completely blocked. I'm posting anyway, though, just to stay in the habit. Usually the problem is that I have all sorts of ideas and I say, "I need to post", and then I don't. Now it's the other way around. Oh well.

As a side note (a side note to what, you ask? Well wouldn't you like to know?), the new goal is to get rid of my extra poundage. Or at least some of it. My wife has been getting on me that we need to start Weight Watchers. I've been resistant because I enjoy eating, and I enjoy eating what I want to eat. The problem is that I like to eat things of questionable healthiness in great quantities. So once we start the program, I'll be updating everyone on the progress. First though, I told my wife we have to finish eating all the junk food in the house. So basically once all our food is gone, we'll start. I guess this makes it a real goal since I've written it down and told someone about it (at the same time, even!). Right now I'm weighing in at a slender 250. Hopefully I can make it to a little under 2 bills. I don't want to get too small, though. I've always been a big guy, so I want to at least keep a fair amount of muscle on me. (There's just got to be some muscle under the fat.) I guess that would require working out, so let's throw that into the goal too. You heard it here, folks. In the coming months there will be less of Tha Docta to go around. Or at least there will be a more solid version for your viewing pleasure.

So I guess that's all I have to say for now. I thought about throwing in some media commentary, but I don't want to get sucked into a long post so close to the end of my shift. And if I start now and finish later, I'll totally lose my groove. So that will be forthcoming.

Song of the Day: "Trip Hoppin'", by Aerosmith. This was an unreleased track from their last album, Just Push Play. Excellent stuff.
