Greetings From Bloomington

I may not have gotten the job down here, but now I'm here for a week to cover another manager's vacation so that the one still here doesn't have to work 14-hour days. I did that once for about 4 days, and it's not fun. At all. So I don't mind doing this. I was going to be on vacation this week, but I'm taking it next week now instead.

We'll be going down to Jessica's sister's place in Kansas for a few days for New Year's (otherwise known as Luke's first birthday). That should be good times. We'll leave from here (Jessica's bringing Luke down tomorrow) on Friday and stop in St. Louis for a night. Whenever we travel, we always try to stop somewhere where there's something to see or do. So since we haven't been to the St. Louis Arch yet, we'll do that. We have to keep planned activities brief now with Luke around.

I thought I might be able to come up with some interesting tidbits if I just started writing, but that's proving not to be the case. So I'll sign off for now, and maybe if I think of some things I'll check back in later. Till then.
