Bringin' Home a Baby Bumblebee

During one of the hot days this week (it was scorching hot like I mentioned before on Monday and Tuesday, but the rest of the week was actually pretty nice), I was mowing my lawn and got stung on my leg by a bumblebee. It was weird, because they're usually pretty docile. I guess I must have run over something and made him mad. But anyway, I figured at the time that it was no big deal, but over the next couple of days it started to swell up and hurt. So by Thursday I had one regular leg and one cankle. Besides the swelling, it looked like my lower leg was some sort of dartboard with red circles of differing sizes, and an angry red blotch in the middle. And so as much as it hurt my manliness, I had to go to the doctor for a bee sting. I swear, I've been to the doctor like 3 times in my life, and I've been twice in the last month and a half. Annoying. I got a pretty powerful antibiotic (I don't know if it really is, or if it's just the doctor trying to make me feel more manly), and some pills for the itching. That was the adventure this week.

We also had a cookout yesterday and invited some people over. It was the most people we'd had over before, and I think it went pretty well. The burgers were a little rare, so I guess I'll have to concentrate more on that next time (I must have been distracted or something, because that would usually be something I excel at). That's pretty much it for now. It's been pretty low-key this week, so I don't have any thing to complain about or any long tangents or stories to do. Maybe next time.

Song of the Day: "Easy Like Sunday Morning", by the Commodores. Even though this song is about leaving your woman, it's just a feel-good song. I'm feelin' good, and it's Sunday Morning. So it fits.
