So Luke's started teething. He actually started last week, but this is the first time it's actually occurred to me while I'm writing. He's getting two bottom teeth in, right in the middle. To my wife, this means he'll be getting a place of his own in no time because he's growing up so fast. To me, it means he whines a lot more. I'm not really complaining, because he's still a great kid. Whenever we talk about him to other parents (sleeping through the night, doesn't cry a lot, happy when he wakes up, naps well during the day, etc), they hate us. I'm just saying he's whining more. He'll wake up, play for a half hour or so, and then get really moody. Also, he's always looking for paper for some reason. We can't give it to him though, because he'll eat it. Mmmm, paper.
You know, I had a ton of things to blog about last night, and then I fell asleep. I should have made notes. Oh well.
I found out yesterday that I was going to Bloomington for work in two weeks. Then I found out today that I'm not. They're having some issues at the center over there with this and that, and I was going to help them out. I guess management had a meeting with the line staff last night, and they're going to see if the plan they came up with will work. So I'm basically "Plan B", or as I like to say, "The Enforcer". What we're saying is, "Alright, you can try it your way. But you'd better hope it works, because if it doesn't we're sending The Enforcer!". I'll be happy if they get it worked out. Traveling is fine and all, but the novelty wears off pretty quickly. I don't know how my mom does it. On the plus side, it would possibly bring on another entry in the travel diaries (see "The Athens Diaries"). I guess we'll see what happens.
I'm working on my next edition of The List, which I hope to have up tomorrow night. It's not searches this time, but I don't know if I'll ever have a list of searches as good as the first one anyway.
It's mid-July, and I'm starting to feel it...can you feel that? It's coming. Football season approaches. My football jones is at about halfway up the intensity meter right now. When the preseason gets here, I'll have the shakes. Happens every year. I'll try not to overpopulate the site with Eagles propaganda, but I make no guarantees. That reminds me, in my annual pilgrimage to the Eagles End Zone outlet in Lancaster, PA, I finally found an Eagles tie that I like. So now I'll be able to wear that every Monday of the football season. I'm easily amused.
Song of the Day: "Dandelion", by Audioslave. If you thought their first album was disappointing, check out the second. Zimm pointed out that it sounds more like a mix between Soundgarden and Rage, and I agree with him. It's awesome.
